Religious Imaginations Educational Video Series

We are the LSE Faith Centre and Religion & Global Society Research Unit, and with the support of Culham St Gabriel’s Trust, we produced 6 short films to broaden understanding of different faith traditions.

Overall Purpose/Aims:

  • Our aim with this project was to build deeper religious literacy, enabling people to understand religious traditions as fundamental to the shaping of our societies.
  • We aimed to challenge characterisations of religion as only “private” or “personal” and show how they influence and underpin global society.
  • These films will also act as a resource for our renowned Beecken Faith and Leadership program, where we provide LSE students with the tools for effective interfaith dialogue.

About The Films

  • We produced films on Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and Sikhi.
  • These films explore the history and culture of each faith and offer a publicly available resource for improving understanding about them.
