Staffordshire SACRE’s EDI and RE Leadership Training Project, led by Mary Gale, supported school leaders, governors, and trustees to embed Equity, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) into their strategic responsibilities through quality RE. Delivered via webinars and face-to-face sessions, the training helped participants understand the role of RE in fostering inclusive school cultures. Over 300 schools engaged with the programme, which included bespoke materials, evaluation tools, and follow-up pupil workshops. The project contributed to curriculum development and strengthened accountability for inclusive education. For more information please see here.
