Kate taught RE in Secondary schools in London and Essex for 11 years before becoming an RE adviser. She currently works in a freelance capacity designing training, pupil days, teaching resources and INSET.
Kate recently completed her PhD in Philosophy of Education at UCL’s Institute of Education, focussing on issues of antiracism, multiculturalism and liberal education. Her interest in the claims made for RE have led to a focus on the purpose and capacity of the subject.
Kate lives in Essex with her husband and two children.
